研究助理(Research Assistant)与实习生(Intern),聘期通常为 6 个月以上,提供具有竞争力的薪资待遇和住房福利。

访问学生会以实习生的身份开展研究。

要求

  • 有学习和探索新知识的热情,科研不是一帆风顺的,也要有积极面对压力的坚韧。

  • 对量子计算与人工智能的基础研究和应用有浓厚的兴趣与热爱,渴望做出有影响力的科研成果。

  • 量子计算、量子信息、人工智能等相关背景优先,也欢迎数学、物理、计算机等领域的优秀学生申请。

  • 有扎实数学功底,熟练掌握线性代数、概率论,拥有良好的计算机科学与机器学习背景,有一定的编程能力(Python)。

  • 良好的英语沟通、阅读、写作能力。

  • 有良好的个人品质与团队合作精神。

Introduction

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is a globally recognized institution of higher learning with a reputation for innovation and excellence. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology operate within a mutually beneficial framework, characterized by equal status, shared resources, and complementary advantages. Together, they support the development of the nation and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The school is located near the Qing Sheng Station of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway, and it takes about 1 hour to reach West Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Research Assistants and Interns are welcomed to join our research team in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). The typical employment period is a minimum of six months, with competitive compensation packages and housing benefits provided.

Visiting students are treated as Interns during their research period.

The project advisor has supervised over 30 interns during their tenure at Baidu, all of whom have gone on to pursue careers in quantum computing. They are currently making significant contributions to the field in the industry and at prestigious universities worldwide, including MIT, Caltech, ETH, UCLA, Georgia Tech, University of Copenhagen, University of Hong Kong, and National University of Singapore.

Requirements

  • Exhibit a fervent enthusiasm for learning and exploring new knowledge, as well as the resilience to actively confront challenges and pressures inherent in scientific research.

  • Possess a profound interest and passion for fundamental research and practical applications in the fields of quantum computing and artificial intelligence, aspiring to make significant scientific contributions.

  • Preference given to candidates with backgrounds in quantum computing, quantum information, artificial intelligence, or related disciplines. Exceptional students from mathematics, physics, and computer science domains are also encouraged to apply.

  • Demonstrates a robust mathematical foundation, proficiency in linear algebra and probability theory, a strong background in computer science and machine learning, and programming capabilities (Python).

  • Proficient English communication, reading, and writing abilities.

  • Exemplary personal qualities and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
